Playing with Word Art

February is the busiest month for birthdays (besides September). In an effort to save money, spread a little homemade love, and attempt to send the birthday cards on time (aka before March rolls around), I was looking for a quick & easy (& cheap) solution. So I turned to my computer (what else?) and started playing with Word Art. This is what I ultimately came up with.

The top layer of cake says "happy" and the other layers say "birthday." I used the font Lucida Handwriting. And while I was at it, I made this for my friend who is expecting a baby (she doesn't know the sex).

It's great! We all have so many cool fonts on our computers, but I never think to use any of them in a craft. What a wonderful idea. :)
