- I realized this week that it's imperative to my health that I become a snowbird. I was allergic to the spring and summer when I lived in FL, and now I'm painfully allergic to the fall and winter in PA (aka mold).
- In the past 36 hours, I've been feeling pretty proud. I have spent a lot of years entertaining ideas that I've never ultimately pursued. Something's clicked internally in the past few months, making me less afraid of failure and more afraid of never having tried. So I'm going after a few things right now. Hopefully some of it will come to fruition and I'll be able to share in the near future. But even if it doesn't, I'm proud that I've stopped waiting for things to come to me and have started going for it.
- Speaking of proud, I started transferring my spiral notebook writing to Storyist and am really excited about how much I've written. I may actually have something resembling a novel this time next year (it's [semi-]realistic YA fiction, for those of you who have been curious).
- Of course, if I spent as much time writing as I do playing this Facebook game, I'd have written an entire series by now.
- My scrap studio has seriously been neglected. My crafty friends' blogs are making me want to get back in there. I'm holding out hope for this weekend. It'll be so nice to scrap in front of my new, modern, unobstructed window.
- And finally, I totally dropped the ball on the Great Books Week Blog Tour. In all honesty, I'm not sure that I have great answers for the last three days, so I'll spare you from having to read them. I am a huge book lover..we donate our books to Goodwill here..and we also do the shoeboxes at Christmas time.

I think we all talk about things that we never pursue...but I really hope the novel goes well!

I no longer have my old journals (they went in the firepit, I think.) That's probably a good thing, as I'm pretty sure they'd be more depressing than entertaining or inspiring, haha. Good luck with yours :)

I love great books, but I rarely have time to read them. I've got quite a stack! I do donate all of them when I finish them, though; there's no sense in holding on to them. I'm a big supporter of the Give a Kid a Book campaign in my area; the gift of reading is priceless.
Congrats on the new positive thinking! I am always more affraid that I will look back and wish I had atleast tried. So, I say go for it!
